Team & History
History.
For 55 years, and over 3 generations, the Maister family built, operated and then successfully sold what was one of the largest privately-owned corporations in Africa. The cornerstone of the group – Yellow Pages South Africa – proved to be one of the most successful and innovative publishing operations worldwide of its time.
The sale of this recurring revenue, high margin business in 2006 provided a capital base to establish an intergenerational family office.
Then in 2014 we purchased Australian private company, 4Cabling Pty Ltd. After 8 years of phenomenal growth, we successfully sold it to a high profile PE firm, Five V Capital. We remain on the board and minority shareholders.
Through a charitable trust, we “Give back” a percentage of our wealth to local communities and charities.
